FCS of the Month Club info

Hey fishies! Yesterday Fortune Cookie Soap released information on a long awaited subscription we have all been asking for. All information in this post is taken straight from the Winter 2016 launch video by Shannon. I am just typing it up in an easy to find format so you guys who may have missed the launch can be as well informed as the rest of us! :)

  • It is called FCS of the Month Club
  • It will contain full size products at 50% off.
  • It is a subscription.
  • It is not a theme so much as a category you would find on the website (Face, soap, etc.)
  • January will be the first one and it's category is "Face"
  • It is meant for you to be able to try products at a discount, and come back later and buy it if you like it.
  • You can skip a month, pause, or cancel yourself. You don't have to contact FCS to do it.
  • It will roll out in December, and ship January 10th.
  • Each box will have one new product, and if we like the new product it stays permanent.
  • January's face box will have a toner for it's new product.
  • The first month it will launch in small numbers in the VIP group.
Are you guys as excited as I am? Ahh! I can't wait. If you are not already, please subscribe so you can stay up to date and don't miss out on any great information like this!

Fortune Cookie Soap Alternative Uses 2.0

Hey Fortune Cookie Soap lovers! Among the FCS community a topic that is brought up often is unconventional/alternative uses for their products. In April I made my first alternative uses post, and I have been made aware of several other creative solutions so here it is, 2.0!

Tip #1:
Conditioner bars can be used as a "shave lotion" when you shave your legs.

Tip #2: Hydrate Me's can double as a lightly scented perfume.

Tip #3: Incense Cones and linen spray can be used remove tough smells from your vehicle.

Tip #4: Shampoo bars are amazing for cleaning makeup brushes!. (-Gabriella N.)
Tip #5: Bath tea's can be used in a foot bath to infuse your pedicures with essential oils, sea salt, and oatmeal if you are a shower girl. (-Katie B.)
Tip #6: Hair oil can be used as a makeup primer, but avoid your eyes! (-Flora S.)
Tip #7: Cuticle oil/butter can be used on any dry/rough spots such as elbows, feet, etc. (-Aisha Q.)

Tip #8: Facial cleansing oil can be used to clean dense foundation brushes. (-Megan F.)

Tip #9: You can break bath bombs into smaller pieces to use as mani/pedi bombs.. (-Aisha Q.)
Tip #10: Bath oil being used like shower oil, and bubble bath being used like body wash. Either could be used to shave. (-Brittany K.)
Tip #11: Wax tarts to scent drawers and closets like sachets. Mustache wax to tame eyebrows! (-Allyssa B.)
Tip #12: Wax tarts or just any wax tarts i heard get a little baby food jar take the wrapper off and poker lots of holes in the top and put a few pieces in it and then put it in a spot where it gets hot in your car and that way u have a car air freshener. (-Lisa T.)

Tip #13:  I use the ocd to make my bug bites stop itching! (-Allison A.)
Tip #14: I put perfume oil in my wax warmer as an alternative to wax tarts. (-April A.)

I hope you found these alternative uses helpful! -Sami Fish

Fortune Cookie Soap Winter Box 2016

Always Winter-OCD Hand Sanitizer (Evergreen fir needles, cinnamon, cranberries, apple cuts, and cedar wood)
Always Winter is reminiscent of "Oogie Boogie" from the Nightmare Before Christmas collection. It smells like Christmas, which I love. The only downside for me is the silver glitter which leaves a fair amount on your body when used-I could do without the glitter.

Father Christmas-Whipped Cream (Winter air, blue juniper bush, frosty snow, iced vanilla cupcakes)
This one reminds me a lot of a previous scent as well, maybe Tommy guns and baseball bats but a little more minty?

Sweeties-Fortune Cookie Soap (Rosewater, pistachios, amaretto, buttery cookies)
This smell is really confusing to my nose...it kind of smells like rosewater and gummy bears mixed?

Dream of a Dream-Dusting Powder (Lavender, vanilla, soft musk, patchouli) This scent is one I'm going to have to try in another product to make up my mind on it. The scent description sounds really good but I can't pick up on much from the dusting powder.

Lion's Breath-Perfume Oil (Winter frost, fir needles, pomegranates)
My favorite scent of the collection-It's a wintery pomegranate scent that could almost be unisex. I love it.

Hide and Seek-Whipped Soap (Dark chocolate, espresso beans, allspice, coconut cream)
I'm so excited to see whipped soap make a return! It is so light and fluffy, and the scent is a really nice blend of the dark chocolate, espresso, and coconut.

Deep Magic-Shampoo Bar (Rosemary, fresh garden herbs, mint)
Maybe it's because it's 85 in NOVEMBER but the shampoo bar this time showed up kind of slimy. I'm really happy Fortune Cookie Soap offered a minty shampoo though because I know a lot of Fortune Freaks have been asking for it.

Small Favors-Pedi Bomb (Warm honey, tobacco pipe, spiced citrus)
I want to try this product in other scents as well, if you know me at all, you know I love anything tobacco scented! It smells like a more spicy version of "Grandpa Joe." I LOVE!

If you subscribe to this box, comment and tell me which scent was your favorite! Lion's Breath (perfume oil) and Small Favors (pedi bomb) are my two favorites.

I'm unaware if this soap box is still available for purchase, you can check by clicking here.  If you aren't able to get the soap box or love the scents so much you want full size products, visit their Facebook page (CLICK HERE for a direct link) on Friday, November 11th at 6pm CST for the launch of this collection.
